Alternative investment markets pursued by EMEA investors 2018

This statistics illustrates the distribution of alternative investment sectors actively pursued by European, Middle East and African (EMEA) property investors as of 2018. Responses are from the EMEA investor intentions survey, which provides a comprehensive look into the intentions and trends in the real estate investment sector in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. It can be seen that, with 31.7 percent, student living topped the list of attractive alternative property investments in the EMEA. This was followed closely by real estate debt, with a share of 30 percent at that time. Single family residential completed the top three, with 20 percent of investors stating they are actively pursued as of 2018.
