This timeline shows the perceived difficulty of obtaining a mortgage for first-time buyers in the United Kingdom (UK) according to parents of 20 to 45 years olds surveyed in 2012 and 2015. It appears that there was little change over the years, with a majority (98% in 2012 and 94% in 2015) of respondents believing it is hard to virtually impossible for first-time buyers to get a mortgage.
