In Canada, the highest value of private equity (PE) deals were closed in the province of Quebec in 2022. A total of 5.8 billion Canadian dollars worth of PE deals were closed in Quebec that year. Quebec was followed by Ontario, where the value of PE deals amounted to 2.2 billion Canadian dollars. The top three is completed by the province of British Columbia, where PE deals closed amounted to 926 million Canadian dollars. Quebec and Ontario also had the highest number of PE deals closed in Canada.
