In Canada, the highest number of venture capital (VC) deals were closed in the province of Ontario in 2023, with a total of 293 transactions. The top three were completed by the provinces of Quebec and British Columbia, in which a total of 136 and 92 venture capital deals were closed, respectively. Together, these three provinces accounted for 86 percent of the total value of venture capital invested in Canada in 2023.
