Shaw Communications operates on fiscal year from September 1 to August 31.
As a result of the restructuring undertaken in the prior year [2014], the Company reorganized its residential and enterprise services, previously included in the Cable and Satellite segments, into Consumer and Business Network Services segments, respectively with no change to the Media operating segment. Comparative results have been restated to reflect the new business segments.The Business Infrastructure Services segment was created with the acquisition of ViaWest on September 2, 2014.
