This statistic shows the level of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions attributable to the manufacture of basic metals and casting* in the United Kingdom (UK) from 1990 to 2017, in thousand metric tons. CO2 emissions from this sector have decreased over the years. From 1990 to 1995 emissions initially increased from 2.83 million metric tons to 3.72 million metric tons. In 2017, emissions decreased notably to 817,500 metric tons.
