This statistic shows the amount of nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions attributable to buses, coaches, trams and similar public urban transport in the United Kingdom (UK) from 1990 to 2017, in thousand metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e). It shows that N2O emissions from this sector decreased from 1990 to 2005, falling from 55,600 metric tons of CO2e in 1990, to 18,700 metric tons of CO2e in 2005. Emissions increased again from 2005 onwards, totaling 49,500 metric tons of CO2e in 2017.
