In 2015, it was valued at about 166.5 billion U.S. dollars and is expected to reach a staggering 179 billion U.S. dollars by 2020. As one of the most populous countries, with several public health crises, it comes as no surprise that there is such a large market for health and wellness in America.
Food, nutrition, and wellness

The health and wellness product market in the United States is teeming with exciting new trends, many of which are related to food and nutrition. Organic/natural snacks, probiotic flavored yogurt, and non-dairy milk are all expected to grow in popularity in the coming years. One of the rising stars in the wellness industry is probiotics, which are said to improve digestion by increasing the amount of beneficial bacteria in the digestive system.

Healthy behavior in the U.S.

When adults in the United States were asked what being “healthy” meant to them, the top response was the absence of health problems, followed by eating healthy, and being fit. Overall, Americans seem to make an active effort to maintain and improve their health. In 2017, 88 percent of U.S. adults had either began drinking more water or fluids in order to stay hydrated or had been doing so for more than a year.
