The operating profit before tax attributable to shareholders' profits from continuing operations for the life insurance segment in the United Kingdom (UK) and Ireland increased overall between 2014 and 2022, albeit with some fluctuation, while that for the general insurance segment generally decreased with fluctuation. Aviva Plc is a multinational life insurance group based in the UK, and the operating profit here refers to the profitability of the business before taking into account interest and taxes, attributable to shareholders' profits from continuing operations. In 2022, profit from shareholders in the life insurance segment amounted to just over 1.9 billion British pounds. At the same time, the operating profit from shareholders in the general insurance segment amounted to 338 million British pounds.
