Gen X video streaming service usage in the U.S. 2017-2018
In 2018, 77 percent of Generation X households in the United States used a streaming video service, up from 64 percent in the previous year. Generation X households were less likely than Millennials or Gen Zers to have a video streaming subscription, but were more likely than their younger counterparts to use pay TV. The way in which media consumption changes according to age is frequently discussed not only by industry experts as a point of interest, but also studied by marketers seeking to target certain demographic groups via their marketing campaigns.
