Challenger banks in the United Kingdom 2013 and 2014, by return on tangible equity
This statistic illustrates the return on tangible equity for selected challenger banks in the United Kingdom for the 2013 and 2014 financial years. It was reported that although in 2014 Metro Bank had a return on tangible equity of -9.4%, that was still an improvement of almost 5 percent on the 2013 financial year. This trend of improved returns was seen by every bank apart from TSB and Secure Trust, both of which noted a decrease in the return rate.
