This statistic shows the import volume of spirits to Germany from 1990 to 2018. In 2018, roughly 461 million bottles (à 0.7 liters) of distilled beverages were imported into Germany, a decrease compared to the previous year, at 474 million bottles.

According to internal estimates, the BSI assumes double counting due to bulk good deliveries amounting to approximately 100 million bottles à 0.7 litres. Based on the total market for spirits, imported spirits (according to GfK) account for around 40% of the spirits supply in Germany.
