This statistic displays the incident rate of mothers who breastfed their babies initially in the United Kingdom in 2010, by birth order. According to results of the survey women are more likely to breastfeed their first child than any subsequent children they may have. In Northern Ireland 70 percent of mothers initially breastfed their first child, with this figure decreasing to 60 percent for subsequent babies born.
