In 2024, eight restaurants in Great Britain and Ireland were awarded three Michelin stars, the highest recognition given to restaurants by the Michelin Guide. The majority of Michelin star restaurants in that year hold one star, 27 were given two stars, while 127 others rated 'Bib Gourmands', an award for good quality and good value cooking. This year, the Michelin Guide also introduced the 'Green Star' which were awarded to 33 restaurants that showed a great sense of responsibility towards the environment.
