This statistic shows the amount the campaign of each candidate in the Democratic pre-nomination presidential race 2016 has spent per quarter. As of December 31, 2015, Hillary Clinton spent more than Bernie Sanders in every quarter since they launched their campaigns. However, the gap between the candidates significantly narrowed in the fourth quarter with Clinton and Sanders spending 33.1 million U.S. dollars and 32.4 million U.S. dollars respectively.
