Department store retail sales value quarterly index in Great Britain 2015-2019

This statistic shows the quarterly trend in the value of retail sales (amount spent) in non-specialized predominantly non-food stores (i.e. department stores) in Great Britain from 1st quarter 2015 to 4th quarter 2019. The figures are seasonally adjusted estimates, measured using the Retail Sales Index (RSI) and published in index form with a reference year of 2016 equal to 100. During this time period, department store sales have increased significantly, peaking in the second quarter of 2018, when the volume index measured at 104.6. Since then, a slight decrease observed, with index level measured at 101.8 in the last quarter of 2019.
