Gross domestic product (GDP) change in Belgium 2016-2019

The health of Belgium's economy is assessed by its gross domestic product (GDP). The GDP of the third quarter of 2019 presented an increase of 1.6 percent. This change is slightly higher growth than the previous quarters of 2019, having changed by 1.3 percent each.

In 2018, the Belgian GDP grew of 1,4 percent. In 2019, the three quarters for which we hare results round up to a similar level of growth. However, the fourth quarter of 2019 will have to confirm or infirm equal growth. From 2016 to 2019, the highest quarterly percentage change of GDP in Belgium was in the thirst quarter of 2017 with a 2 percent change.
