Fixed broadband internet subscriptions in Brazil have been increasing both in terms of quantity and velocity. In 2022, there were almost 38.3 million fixed subscriptions with a transmission speed above 34 megabits per second (Mbps) in the South American country, up from approximately 2.91 million of such subscriptions recorded in 2016. Considering mobile phone subscriptions in Brazil, the fourth generation of wireless mobile telecommunications (known as 4G) has been expanding.
