The employed population in Belgium in 2019 varied by age and region. In 2019, most of the Belgian active and employed population lived in the region of Flanders and was aged 25 to 49 years old. On the other hand, the lowest employed population was found in the Brussels-Capital Region and the population aged 15 to 24 years old. For instance, in 2019, 82 thousand people aged 15 to 34 years old were employed in Wallonia for 139 thousand in Flanders.
