Economically inactive people in Belgium 2008-2019, by age

From 2008 to 2019, the economically inactive population in Belgium varied greatly by age. In 2019, most of the inactive population was aged between 15 and 24 years and the lowest number of economically inactive Belgians was found in the 25 to 49 age group. During this period, the inactive population aged 50 to 64 decreased overall, whereas the inactive population increased in the younger generations.
