Homicide rate per 100,000 population in Finland 2010-2020
The homicide rate per 100,000 population in Finland declined notably in the period from 2010 to 2020. In 2020, the homicide rate was 1.36 victims per 100,000 inhabitants, while in 2010 the corresponding figure was still 1.9. Although the number of homicides slightly increased in 2018, the numbers remained well below the average of the 1990s and the early 2000s.
