In 2022, the macro-region with the most engaged newspaper readers in Italy was the North West, with over 4.3 million people reading papers at least once per week and more than 1.45 million doing so five times a week or more. By contrast, residents living in the Islands macro-region were the least likely to read newspapers regularly.
