Employees aged between 45 and 49 years received approximately 3,200 euros per month including overtime, whereas employees between the ages of 35 and 39 received an average of roughly 2,900 euros per month including overtime.

The source adds: "The monthly wage is the agreed gross salary, excluding bonuses/allowances, but including the value according to tax of non-monetary remuneration liable to tax and paid overtime. The private tax benefits of a company car are not included. There is a difference between monthly wage including paid overtime and excluding paid overtime. The average monthly wage in a year is determined by dividing the yearly wage sum by 12 times the average number of jobs in that year."
