In 2023, Pemex had 94 drilling rigs, up from 82 drilling rigs in the previous year. In comparison to a decade earlier, however, this represents a decline of more than 32 percent. Officially named PetrĂ³leos Mexicanos, the company is Mexico's national oil corporation. Once amongst the largest oil companies in the world, Pemex's crude oil production reported an annual decrease throughout the past decade.
