Recidivism rate of sentenced prisoner 2006-2016, by age group
The rate of recidivism among sentenced prisoners in Finland generally decreased from 2006 to 2016, within a five-year follow-up period after their release from prison. 83 percent of prisoners aged 15 to 20 years who were released in 2015 returned to prison within five years. This was an increase of four percent compared to the previous year.
