From 2009 to 2011 the steel use per capita rose from 429.9 kilograms of finished steel products used to 488.1 kilograms used. Despite decreasing in 2012 and 2013, the apparent use of finished steel products has shown a trend of growth, reaching its peak in 2017 at 500.6 kilograms per capita.
