Fruit production volume in Denmark 2016-2017 Although the production volume of apples decreased in Denmark from 2015 to 2017, it was still the most widely produced fruit in the country. In 2016, approximately 28.7 thousand tons of apples were produced, while the production volume amounted to more than 20 thousand tons in the following year. By comparison, pears were the second most produced fruit in both years, with an amount of nearly 2.1 tons in 2016 and around 1.7 thousand tons in 2017.
Producer price of apples 

  In the period from 2007 to 2017, the producer price of apples fluctuated. It reached its peak in 2012, with a producer price of 380 Danish kroner per 100 kilograms. Since then, the price decreased overall and amounted to 323 Danish kroner per 100 kilograms as of 2017.

 Agricultural area used 

   In 2017, the total area used for apple production in Denmark was 1,444 hectares, of which 387 hectares was organic land. While the area of land used for regular apple production decreased from 2012 to 2017, the size of land used for organic apple production increased annually.
