Ride-sharing services are adapting to the future of urban transportation. One of the big players in the industry is Uber, available in 72 countries and over 10,000 cities worldwide. The San Francisco-based company grew to a global ridership of over 2.1 billion rides in the first quarter of 2023.Uber’s brand recognition in the United States is high: 90 percent of Americans were familiar with Uber in 2022. Close to two thirds indicated that they used Uber services and over half said they would use Uber again.
