Exclusive Premium Statistic

Forecast of Facebook user numbers in the United Kingdom (UK) 2015-2022 This statistic displays a forecast of the development in Facebook user numbers in the United Kingdom (UK) from 2015 to 2022. In 2022, the number of monthly active Facebook users is projected to reach 42.27 million individuals. This would be an increase of over seven million new users from 35.13 million users in 2015. Between 2015 and 2021 the Facebook user penetration rate in the UK is expected to increase by 7.93 percent to 61.89 percent in 2021. Included are all Facebook accounts that get used at least monthly via any device. The rate of use in the United Kingdom is the second highest penetration rate in the EU according to Statista's own data. These numbers reflect Facebook's dominant position on the UK social media market, where the company reached a market share of 74,03 percent in April 2017. By now the services offered through Facebook reach all age groups in the country but slightly more female users than male users. Facebook gets used more than once a day by around 44 percent of the UK online population. Only 21 percent of UK adults that go online don't use Facebook at all.
