Furthermore, the number of practicing nurses in Czechia increased by around 12 thousand since the year 2000.

Czechia’s expenditure on healthcare amounted to 9.1 percent of its’ GDP in 2020. It has been generally increasing overall since 1990. In comparison to other European countries, Czechia ranked relatively low on the share of GDP spent on health expenditures. Germany had the highest share of expenditure on health, spending 12.8 percent of its GDP in the regarded year.
