Outbound travel spending by quarter UK 2021

Spending on visits abroad from the United Kingdom fell sharply in 2020 and 2021 over the previous years due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. As of the fourth quarter of 2021, the outbound expenditure amounted to approximately 6.77 billion British pounds, rising substantially over the same quarter of 2020 but remaining below pre-pandemic levels. Between October and December 2021, visits abroad from the United Kingdom totaled around nine million.
