Romania: national football players with most goals scored of all time as of 2021
As of February 15, 2021, the national football team of Romania has the very rare situation that the all time record for goals scored is shared by two retired football players. Gheorghe Hagi, who retired back in 2000 from the team, and Adrian Mutu, who retired from Romanias team in 2013, both scored 35 goals each.

The last big success for the team was making it to the quarter finals of the European Championship (Euro) 2000, the team did not qualify themselves for the 2018 World Cup.
