The most popular cosmetic surgery among women in the UK in 2016 was breast augmentation with over 7.7 thousand procedures, while blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) was the second most common surgery with approximately 3.6 thousand procedures. For men, rhinoplasty was the most carried out procedure in 2016 with 529 surgeries carried out.

In 2017, the sales value of the cosmetics market in the UK amounted to almost 9.77 billion British pounds. This is an increase of over 1.7 billion British pounds from the sales value in 2009. Cosmetic facial care was the leading category in the UK in skincare cosmetics, with a sales value of over 924 million British pounds in 2017.
