It can be seen that 46 percent of respondents in Sweden knew that there were a total of 19 countries using the euro at that time. On the other hand, only 34 percent of respondents in Bulgaria were able to correctly state the number of countries currently in the euro area as of 2020. On average, the share of respondents in EU member states not using the euro that knew there were 19 countries using the euro stood at 40 percent at that time.
