The supply of newly built apartments for rent in large-scale buildings in the United States grew a lot since 2001. Nevertheless, the deliveries of apartments are expected to be slightly lower in 2022 than in the previous year. There are many factors that influence housing supply. For example, building completions were further delayed in 2020 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and its effect on the construction process, funding, and permits.
