Australia has the world's largest reserves of lead worldwide, with some 43.5 percent of the global lead reserves as of 2021. China was in a distant second place that year, having accounted for a 14.1 percent share of the world's reserves of lead. The total global reserves of lead stood at approximately 85 million metric tons in that year.
