Average selling price of apartments flats and studios in Belgium 1990-2017, by region This statistic shows the average selling price of apartments, flats and studios in Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels Capital Region (Belgium) from 1990 to 2017 (in euros). Belgium as a country has the unique situation that it has four governments: one national and three regional. These governments sometimes work together, but also do things differently from another. When looking at Belgium, one therefore also has to look at the regional level. In 2017, the average price of an apartment, flat and studio in the Brussels Capital Region (Brussels and its surroundings) was roughly 245,000 euros.
Between the fourth quarter of 2016 and the third quarter of 2017, the house price index of Belgium increased from 149 to 153, whilst the indices of Luxembourg and the Netherlands increased from 152 to 162 and 101 to 107 respectively in the same period. In February 2017, the confidence indicator of the construction sector in Belgium reached a level of approximately -5.3. This was lower than the European average.
