Year-on-year growth of wages in Germany 2011-2016 This statistic shows the year-on-year growth of wages in Germany from 1st quarter 2011 to 4th quarter 2016. In the first quarter of 2011, labor costs in Germany rose by two percent compared to the previous year. This percentage frequently decreased until the fourth quarter 2013, at which point wage growth in Germany began to increase. Despite a dip in the winter of 2011/12 and the entirety of 2013, the overall trend for wage growth in Germany in this time period was one of increase.
