Value of financial intermediation outside of the banking sector in Germany 2010-2022
The value of total non-bank financial intermediation in Germany increased notably between 2010 and 2022, despite a drop in 2022. Non-bank financial intermediation is defined as credit intermediation involving activities and entities that fall outside of the regular banking system. As of 2022, the total value of the sector in Germany reached a value of more than 2.26 trillion U.S. dollars.
