Share of individuals listening to traditional radio in Norway 2021, by age group
According to the Norsk mediebarometer 2021, published by Norway's "Statistisk sentralbyrå" in April 2022, a significant difference in daily radio use in Norway can be observed between the younger generations and the rest of the population. Whereas the medium struggles to achieve a daily reach of more than 20 percent with Norwegians aged nine to 24, the reach is easily doubled with listeners aged 25 and older. In fact, the share of daily radio listeners peaked with Norwegians aged 67 to 79 years (70 percent).
