The number of overnight stays in Belgium bounced back in 2022, following a sharp decline with the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Overall, total overnight stays, including nights spent by inbound and domestic guests, reached 43 million in 2022, also exceeding pre-pandemic levels. Over the period considered, hotels accounted for the highest number of nights in the country, with around 19 million overnight stays in 2022.
