
Gender distribution of newspaper journalists in the U.S. 2017, by publication
The statistic shows the gender breakdown of journalists employed at selected newspapers in the Unites States as of November 2017. According to the report, 41 percent of the journalists reporting for the New York Times were female as of the date of survey, and 48 percent of journalists at The Philadelphia Inquirer were women. The publication with the lowest share of female journalists was USA Today with 31 percent of women working for the newspaper in that role.
