This statistic displays the share of individuals who have taken antibiotics orally such as tablets, powder or syrup in the last 12 months in Poland in 2018. Antibiotics are medications that can kill or hinder the growth of bacteria which cause infections in people and animals. In 2018, 24 percent of respondents in Poland reported that they had taken oral antibiotics in the previous 12 months, this was below the European 28 average at 32 percent, while 75 percent of respondents in Poland reported that they had not taken oral antibiotics in the previous 12 months.
