Source of information on not taking antibiotics unnecessarily in Poland 2018
This statistic displays the response of individuals regarding how they first got the information about not taking any antibiotics unnecessarily in Poland in 2018. Antibiotics are medications that can kill or hinder the growth of bacteria which cause infections in people and animals. Antibiotic resistance occurs when there is a mutation in the bacteria's genes, however excessive use of antibiotics can also lead to the spread of antibiotic resistant bacteria. In 2018, 48 percent of respondents who received information about not taking antibiotics unnecessarily reported that they spoke to their doctor about it, while 27 percent of respondents reported that they saw it on the TV news.
