Share of social media platforms used for following news in Finland 2019, by age group

In 2019, most respondents in all age groups used Facebook for searching, reading, watching, sharing or discussing news in Finland. Almost 40 percent of respondents aged 18 to 24 years used Facebook for following news. In general, social media services were more popular among younger age groups. Other commonly used social media platforms in all age groups included YouTube, followed by WhatsApp and Twitter.
