Production of crude steel in the EU-28, by quality 2011-2018

This statistic illustrates the total volume of various qualities of steel produced in the 28 European countries (EU-28) from 2011 to 2018, measured in thousand metric tons. Each type of steel has fallen in production volume between 2011 and 2016. 2017 saw a slight increase in crude steel production in comparison with the previous year. In 2018, non-alloy and other alloy steel production declined and stainless steel production saw a slight increase in comparison to the previous year.
