Share of radio listeners in Norway 2021, by type of program and age
According to the Norsk mediebarometer 2021, published by Norway's Statistisk sentralbyrå in April 2022, the most popular radio program is pop music across all age groups from 16 to 66, ranging from a share of 49 percent (20 to 24 years, 55 to 66 years) to 71 percent (25 to 34 years) of Norwegians who listen to pop music daily. However, pop music is only the second favorite to Norwegians aged 67 to 79 (45 percent) while a share of almost 70 percent stated to listen to news programs daily.
