Total number of employees of foreign-controlled banks in Switzerland 2011-2021
The total number of employees for foreign-controlled banking institutions in Switzerland decreased steadily from 2011 to 2020. As of 2020, foreign-controlled banks in Switzerland employed roughly 13.97 thousand individuals. In 2021, however, the number of employees increased slightly to 14,029 employees. Overall, the total number of full time employees in the Swiss banking sector decreased between 2011 and 2021.
