Cut flower auction sales volume in the Netherlands 2018-2021
In August 2021, roughly 463 million cut flowers were sold at auctions in the Netherlands. This was in increase of roughly 10 million flowers compared to the month before. The coronavirus pandemic played a siginifant role in the decrease of flower sales in the Netherlands in the spring of 2020. As of spring 2021 however, flower sales appear to have recovered.
