Domestic one-day trip expenditure in Japan 2014-2023
In 2023, the tourism expenditure of domestic travelers undertaking day trips in Japan amounted to around 4.1 trillion Japanese yen, an increase from about 3.4 trillion yen in the previous year. As indicated by the figures, the COVID-19 pandemic had an adverse effect on domestic tourism in Japan.
